Philosophy is thinking about thinking. Philosophy is the ground on which our understanding of the world is based. Philosophical study promotes richer literacy, links with higher-order thinking, is a great vehicle for dealing with values and helps students with problem/ resolution. This program is based on students exploring their own questions using narratives as a textual focus. We explore types of questions and how to pose philosophical questions (that are questions about real life). Students are taught the skills needed to have a community of inquiry on a group-determined concept.
