Mel Maria is a Catholic, Parish based Primary School. With two campuses, the school enjoys a close relationship with the Parishes of Saint Joseph Pignatelli in Attadale and Pater Noster in Myaree.

Catholic Culture

Students are taught Religious Education daily. They participate in activities which embody Catholic Culture and are provided with many opportunities for the formation of Faith. Mel Maria recognises that Parents are the first educators of their children in the Religious Education Domain and endeavours to support families and Parish in the preparation for Sacraments and in Parish life.

Religious Literacy Assessment

All Year 3 and Year 5 students at Mel Maria participate annually in the Religious Literacy Assessment. Results and data are examined with a view to improving student outcomes and learning in this important area of the curriculum. Mel Maria consistently perform above like schools in this subject.
